About the Documents
Are these documents valid in Florida?
Yes. Every document is drafted from Florida statutes and reviewed by a licensed Florida attorney before going live. They meet all Florida execution requirements including witness and notarization rules.
Do I need to sign in front of a notary?
Yes. The documents are generated with all required signature blocks, but Florida law requires most estate planning documents to be signed before 2 witnesses and a notary. We provide clear instructions with every document.
Are these generic templates or Florida-specific?
Florida-specific. Every document is drafted from Florida statutes — Ch. 732 for Wills, Ch. 709 for Powers of Attorney, Ch. 765 for Health Care documents. These are not national templates.
What if my situation is complicated?
If you have minor children, a blended family, significant business interests, or a complex estate, we recommend consulting a licensed Florida estate planning attorney before executing your documents.
The Process
How does the intake process work?

How long does it take?
Most individual documents take 8–15 minutes. The bundle of all 5 documents takes about 20–25 minutes since many fields pre-populate from your earlier answers.
What format are the documents in?
You receive both PDF (ready to print and sign) and DOCX (editable Word document) formats, delivered instantly by email and available for immediate download.
Can I edit the documents after generating them?
Yes — the DOCX file is fully editable. However we recommend having any changes reviewed by a licensed attorney before execution.

What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
Is there a refund policy?
Because documents are generated and delivered instantly, we do not offer refunds after download. If you have a problem with your documents, contact us at hello@sunstatedocs.com and we will make it right.
Are there any subscription fees?
No. SunstateDocs is a one-time purchase per document or bundle. No subscriptions, no hidden fees.
Florida-Specific Questions
Does Florida require witnesses for a Will?
Yes. Florida requires 2 witnesses and a notary for a self-proving Will under Ch. 732 F.S. Our Will template includes the complete self-proving affidavit with all required signature blocks.
What is a Lady Bird Deed?
A Lady Bird Deed (Enhanced Life Estate Deed) allows you to transfer your Florida home to your heirs at death without going through probate, while keeping full control during your lifetime — including the right to sell, mortgage, or change the beneficiary at any time.
Do I need a Living Will and a Health Care Surrogate?
They serve different purposes. A Living Will declares your wishes about life-prolonging procedures. A Health Care Surrogate designates someone to make medical decisions for you. Most Florida estate planning attorneys recommend having both.
Will these documents work if I move out of Florida?
These documents are drafted specifically for Florida law. If you move to another state, you should have your documents reviewed by an attorney in your new state to ensure they comply with local requirements.
