Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. About SunstateDocs
SunstateDocs LLC ("SunstateDocs," "we," "us," or "our") is a document preparation service, not a law firm. We prepare legal documents based on information you provide. Use of our website and services does not create an attorney-client relationship.
2. Not Legal Advice
SunstateDocs does not provide legal advice, legal strategy, or legal representation. Our service is limited to preparing documents based on information you supply through our intake process.
If your situation requires legal judgment — including but not limited to complex estates, minor children with special needs, business interests, blended families, or Medicaid planning — you should consult a licensed Florida attorney before executing any documents.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a Florida resident to use our document preparation services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information through our intake process
- Reviewing your completed documents before signing
- Executing documents in accordance with Florida law (proper witnesses, notarization)
- Consulting a licensed attorney if you have questions about the legal effect of your documents
- Keeping copies of your executed documents in a safe location
5. Payment and Refunds
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Because documents are generated and delivered electronically immediately upon payment, we do not offer refunds after a document has been generated.
If you experience a technical problem with your documents, contact us at hello@sunstatedocs.com and we will make it right at no additional charge.
6. Document Delivery
Documents are delivered electronically in PDF and DOCX formats to the email address you provide. Download links are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. You are responsible for downloading and storing your documents.
7. Intellectual Property
All document templates, content, and software on this platform are the property of SunstateDocs LLC. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the completed documents generated from your purchase for your personal legal purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, or distribute our templates or platform content.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY FLORIDA LAW, SUNSTATEDOCS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the document at issue.
9. Accuracy of Documents
Documents generated by SunstateDocs are based on the information you provide. We are not responsible for errors in your documents that result from inaccurate or incomplete information you supplied. We strongly recommend reviewing your documents with a licensed Florida attorney before execution.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Broward County, Florida.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
